The Children

Vlad

Birthday: 8/21/01
Arrived at Casa Mea
: Summer 2008
Vlad was 7 when he arrived at Casa Mea. His birth certificate was blank where the names of his mother and father should be. Vlad was raised by his elderly paternal grandfather who had suddenly died, leaving Vlad alone. He arrived at Casa Mea with only the clothes on his back. Thanks to all of our generous donors, Vlad soon had toys, a dresser full of clothes, and a new baseball cap!  Now Vlad is full of life and excitement, and enjoys riding his skateboard, studying English, and earning his own money!

Ana Maria

Birthday: 3/20/03
Arrived at Casa Mea:
Spring 2009
Ana Maria was 6 when she arrived at Casa Mea with her brother Robert. Both of them are absolutely precious. Ana Maria was a true big sister to Robert. At first the two of them were inseparable, but as they felt more secure, Ana Maria was learning she did not have to fill the role of Robert’s mother anymore.  Ana Maria shows great aptitude for languages and school work.  She would like to be a translator when she grows up!

 Cristina

Birthday: 4/8/04
Arrived at Casa Mea:
2008
Cristina was 4 when she arrived Casa Mea. Cristina had suffered from severe neglect for most of her young life. She was abandoned by her mother in a restaurant during the winter. Cristina was temporarily placed in a foster home, which did not work out for her. Finally, she came home to Casa Mea.  Being at Casa Mea has allowed Cristina to blossom into a caring, sweet young woman.  All of her with Casa Mea have been as wonderful for us as they have been for her!

Livia

Birthday: 12/26/05
Arrived at Casa Mea:
 Spring 2011
Twins Livia and Stelian were 5 years old when they arrived at Casa Mea. After birth they were immediately abandoned by their mother in the maternity hospital. As a result, they had lived their entire lives in the orphanage. They are beautiful and loving children. One of our liveliest children, Livia is interested in dancing, singing, and any other creative pursuits she can engage in!

Raul

Birthday:  10/5/05
Arrived at Casa Mea
:  Summer 2014
Raul came to us at the age of 8, after his mother abandoned him and his paternal grandmother sought to find him a home as she was homeless herself. Though he missed so much school before he came to us, we are so pleased that Raul has caught up quickly. He is bright and has many talents, including music, dance, and soccer.  Raul  is a happy and healthy child, and we foresee many wonderful years for him at Casa Mea!

Stelian

Birthday: 12/26/05
Arrived at Casa Mea:
 Spring 2011
Twins Livia and Stelian were 5 years old when they arrived at Casa Mea. Because he and his twin sister were the 11th & 12th children of their mother, they were immediately abandoned by their mother in the maternity hospital. As a result, they had lived their entire lives in the orphanage. They are beautiful and loving children. In addition to being a wonderful student, Stelian has shown great discipline and dedication.  At age 8, he not only plays soccer, but also enjoys practicing swimming, biking, and running!

Robert

Birthday: 7/17/07
Arrived at Casa Mea:
 Spring 2009
Robert was 2 when he arrived at Casa Mea with his sister Ana Maria. Both of them were absolutely precious. At first the two of them were inseparable, but as they felt more secure Ana Maria was learning she did not have to be Robert’s mother anymore.  Now that he has begun to express his individuality, we've been delighted to find that he enjoys soccer, dancing, and anything else that allows him to be the center of attention!

Simona

Birthday: 8/28/03
Arrived at Casa Mea:
 June 2019
Please help us welcome Simona, the latest addition to our Casa Mea family. Simona is 15 years old and goes to high school with Ana, both studying economics. She was abandoned as an infant because her mother had 3 other children and she could not afford to care for Simona. Simona was placed with a foster family and has lived with this family for many years. Her foster parents are retiring so they asked us to care for Simona. The kids all know her and are excited to have her join our family.
