Today is July 29th and yesterday I lost my second front tooth! I left my tooth under my pillow and guess what? The tooth fairy brought me money, 1 lei! I am so excited. It is more than I earn for my weekly allowance. I don’t know what I will do with it yet. I have to think about it some more.
Today, April 8, is my birthday. This year I turned six years old. We had a party at Casa Mea. I helped Ms. Jan make my birthday cake, a Romanian cheesecake, which is so good! Then all of us girls set the dinner table very nice with the good china dishes which Ms. Jan saves for special occasions. After we ate dinner, everyone sang Happy Birthday to me in Romanian and English, I blew out the candles on my cake after making a wish, and then I got to open my presents! I got many nice things but the best was my new dolly. I just love being 6!
Buna (hello)
My kindergarten class had a spring party to celebrate Women’s Day. We invited our mom’s and grandmothers. I was a snowdrop. These are white flowers on a green stem. They are the first to poke their heads out of the snow in the spring. Do you like my hat? I sure do. I had one poem to say but then the teacher asked me to say another one that I hadn’t even practiced. And you know what? I said it perfectly. Ms. Stela and Ms. Jan were so surprised I could do it and they were very pleased with me. After the party we had snacks and played before we came home.
