Founded in
2003, Casa Mea (Romanian for “my home”) is a non-profit, non-faith based
corporation dedicated to providing loving group homes for orphaned and
abandoned children in developing countries.
Casa Mea believes that every child should be loved and wanted and
deserves to grow into adulthood within a loving, safe, and nurturing
environment where he/she can develop to his/her full potential.
Therefore, Casa Mea embraces any orphaned or abandoned child regardless
of his age, sex, race, nationality, or creed.

In the US,
Casa Mea is a 501c3 public charity and in Romania Casa Mea is a
charitable foundation.
Casa Mea owns a large house with 5500 square meters of land in Prejmer,
Romania. Eventually, this house will be home to approximately 12
orphaned and abandoned children. Here, Casa Mea intends to provide a
loving family environment for children such as Julia, Casa Mea’s first
abandoned baby who arrived in June of 2004. These children will come to
Casa Mea as infants such as Julia, who was 4 months old when she came to
Casa Mea, and will stay until they become adults and are ready and want
to move out into the world on their own.

Casa Mea
plans to open three to four new group homes over the next twenty years.
